About Jennifer

Who Jennifer Is

Jennifer Monroe is an executive function and ADHD coach serving high school, college, and graduate students in the Los Angeles area. Her work is relationship-based, direct, and built around what actually works for each student’s brain—not what “should” work.
Jennifer is certified through the ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) and has over 30 years of experience supporting neurodivergent individuals across multiple settings: caregiving (both children and adults), special education, corrections education (GED instruction, life skills, and pro-social skill development), and academic tutoring for special education and twice-exceptional students.
Jennifer’s approach focuses on helping capable students who struggle with consistency develop systems that work for their minds, their lives, and their future.

On Coaching

Neurodivergence is not a superpower.
Framing ADHD or autism as a gift minimizes real struggles and creates pressure to be grateful for challenges that genuinely make life harder. It dismisses the exhaustion, overwhelm, and daily friction that neurodivergent people experience.
Jennifer’s approach rejects toxic positivity. Her work is built on one principle: No Shame. No Blame. No Guilt. Neurodivergent students have spent too long internalizing shame about how their brains work, blaming themselves for struggling with things that “should” be easy, and carrying guilt about not meeting neurotypical expectations. These students aren’t broken. Their brains work differently, and that difference creates real challenges in a world not designed for them. The work isn’t about changing who they are—it’s about building systems that actually fit how they function. In acknowledgment of all the work students have already done, coaching provides tools that actually help them move forward—without the weight of shame, blame, or guilt.
